THE PRACTICE

About Recover PT

Welcome to Recover Physical Therapy, where the focus is to Recover your health and strength so that you can live your life without restrictions or pain.

We are a locally owned practice founded with the recognition of the need for a superior approach and additional resources in physical therapy that were not previously available to the Magic Valley. Our purpose is to improve the freedom and happiness of the clients we serve.

At Recover PT, we do things very differently than what you will find elsewhere. Every session will be focused, one-on-one care with a highly skilled clinician.  You won't find your therapist trying to juggle more than one patient at a time, and your care will never be delegated to unlicensed aides.

You will find the clinic uniquely equipped with all the same resources used for treating professional athletes. We are the only clinic in town offering these innovative rehab tools like on-site aquatic therapy, the Neubie machine, and the Alter-G Anti-Gravity treadmill.  These tools can safely allow you to strengthen your muscles and exercise after an injury or surgery, and will provide you with a much faster recovery and quicker return to normal activity.

Blaine is the founder and owner of Recover Physical therapy. After working for others for 8 years he decided to establish his own practice where he could have freedom to offer his patients a more holistic, custom, and personalized approach to physical therapy.

Blaine is a Southern Idaho native; he grew up in Oakley where he was very active in sports throughout the year and spent his summers working in agriculture and construction.  After high school he spent a two-year Church mission in Chile. He is fluent in Spanish.

He earned his degree in Exercise Science from BYU in 2009, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marymount University in 2012.  In 2018 He further advanced his skills and earned certification as an orthopedic manual therapist (COMT).  Upon opening the practice he brought several unique rehab tools to the clinic, including Neubie electrical stimulation, an Anti-Gravity treadmill system, and onsite aquatic therapy. He coordinates with nutrition therapy practitioners that enable patients to achieve a higher degree of health and wellness in combination with excellent physical therapy.

Blaine has a unique ability to truly listen to his patients, and understands how distressing pain and physical impairments can be.  He has gone above and beyond industry standards to research physical therapy literature and continue his education and skills. Outside of work he can often be found with his wife and 5 children. Together they love biking, skiing, hiking, church service, and getting involved in our great community.

Emmanuel is a Southern Idaho native. He is a first generation American, born in Twin Falls and grew up in Jerome. In high school he developed an interest for exercise and human anatomy and physiology. He spent his summers working in agriculture, landscaping, a truss plant, and a truck wash. After

of 18.

While enlisted in the Navy, he completed his basic training in Great Lakes, IL. From there he completed advanced training in Meridian, MS. After training he was stationed in Raleigh, NC. Christopher Lords, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

          South College

          Knoxville, Tennessee

Chris is a Western Montana Native, born and raised in the Bitterroot Valley. He originally developed his love for fitness and exercise while playing football, basketball, and running track in high school. From there, he went on to run

collegiate track for one year at Montana State University-Billings and originally planned on majoring in business. Deciding to change his major to Exercise Science and pursue a career working in college athletics led him to transfer to the University of Montana where he served as a student manager for the men’s basketball team. During this time, Chris also served as an assistant high school basketball and track coach at his high school.

Chris would transfer one more time to finish his degree at Utah Valley University. During his time at UVU, he served as a student manager and strength and conditioning intern for the men’s basketball team. Around this time is when he discovered his love for physical therapy and the special relationships with patients that physical therapists can form when they treat each individual uniquely. He graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science.

Chris graduated from South College with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy where he honed his skills treating orthopedic conditions. He brings skills in pain neuroscience education, joint mobilization/manipulation, and exercise prescription to get at the root cause of pain and dysfunction. Christ is a Titleist TPI certified expert in treating and preventing golf injuries. When not in the clinic, Chris likes to spend his time golfing, playing basketball, and watching a good show or movie.
