At Recover Physical Therapy, we are always seeking the best tools to help our patients heal, recover, and return to the activities they love. That’s why we’re excited to announce that our physical therapists, Blaine and Bret, are now certified in dry needling and ready to offer this effective treatment to our community.

Dry needling is a skilled intervention where a thin, solid needle is inserted into muscle tissue that has become tight, irritated, or developed painful "trigger points." These trigger points are often the underlying source of chronic muscle tension and pain. By targeting these specific spots, dry needling can help release muscle tension, improve blood flow, and reduce pain, often providing relief more quickly than other manual therapy techniques alone.

Research and clinical experience have shown that dry needling can be effective in treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions. From neck and back pain to shoulder, hip, and knee issues, dry needling can be particularly helpful for persistent muscle tightness, sports injuries, tendon problems, and lingering pain that hasn’t responded fully to stretching or exercise alone.

At Recover Physical Therapy, dry needling isn’t a stand-alone treatment. Instead, Blaine and Bret use it as part of a comprehensive, individualized plan of care. Combining dry needling with therapeutic exercise, hands-on manual therapy, movement re-education, and other advanced techniques ensures that you not only get pain relief but also address the underlying causes of dysfunction and build long-term strength and resilience.

We take pride in providing one-on-one care with a focus on transparency, teamwork, and gratitude. If you’ve been dealing with stubborn pain or tightness, or if you’re looking for the next step in your recovery journey, dry needling might be just the tool you need to get back to living fully.

If you’re curious about whether dry needling could help you, call or stop by our clinic to speak with Blaine or Bret. We’re happy to answer your questions and work with you to create a plan that fits your goals and needs.
